We have a new three-part series to share with you about understanding and supporting autistic and ADHD people at work, and in Part 1 we’re looking at some of the experiences that can be overlooked or misunderstood
We talk about masking, sensory differences, communication, executive functioning, rejection sensitivity and burnout, with examples of how these can affect us at work.
If you’re autistic, ADHD or both, you might recognise some of your own experiences. For colleagues, managers and employers, it can help them understand the people they work with and reconsider assumptions about someone’s abilities or support needs.
It’s also something you can pass on when you don’t have the energy to explain everything yourself.
This resource was made possible through the Australian Government Department of Social Services Peer Support Grant.
